Science Camp

Hi, I'm Heidi (she/her)! I'm so excited to spend the summer exploring the amazing worlds of math and science with you! I've been teaching for over 20 years and have a Master's degree in Mathematics, so I have a lot of fun knowledge to share. My favorite part about teaching science is getting to do awesome activities and experiments – we'll be exploring all sorts of cool ideas together! When I'm not in the classroom (or online!), you can usually find me out kayaking or playing fetch with my dog.   I can't wait to meet you!

Andrew Caira - Teacher and Server Coordinator

Minecraft

Hi! I'm Andrew (he/him) and I'm an actor in NYC with a deep love for Minecraft. During the school year, I teach mostly literacy, psychology, and (of course) Minecraft! I've been playing the game and messing around with mods since 2012, and it's the sort of thing that never gets old. I love exploring and learning new things especially with video games. I invite you to learn something new with me (or even teach me something I don't know).

Gab Garcia - Teacher and Subject Matter Expert

World Building

Hey there, I’m Gab (they/them)! During the school year I teach literacy, animal sciences, art, mythology, and a variety of other awesome subjects. I love fantasy and sci-fi! One of my favorite parts of my work is learning about and collaborating on worlds built by students, whether for stories, games, animations, or visual art. I’m so excited to be a part of your world-building this summer, and I cannot wait to explore with you!

Lakshmi- Teacher and Artist

Art Hangout

Hello! My name is Lakshmi (she/her)!
I am an artist and have been working in the arts for the past 10 years. My primary focus has been painting murals, graphic design, and songwriting! Most of my work has been in partnership with environmental non-profits in our local area.

I hope to bring the joy of creation, exploration of artists who came before us, and the bravery to take creative risks. I can’t wait to hear what inspires you and see what we create throughout these sessions.

I am currently a student working towards my Art History degree. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, learning new random art mediums, and walking in the woods. I can’t wait to spend the summer learning and creating together!
